In 2006, Msgr. Gray was assigned as Administrator of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 6001 N. University, Peoria, IL 61614. He was also assigned as judicial vicar and vice-chancellor. It used to be that canon law was thought of only in terms of marriage nullity and annulments. However, there are many issues in the Catholic Church today that require some canonical knowledge. Many practical applications of canon law to real situations in the Church have been discussed. As a result of these discussions, I have prepared position papers or short articles to explore the canon law behind these issues. It became evident that a platform to share this information would be useful. This website was begun with a view to sharing technical information related to the Code of Canon Law for those who work in the Church today. The articles cover a variety of topics. The collection of documents that are posted on this website is intended to grow as new questions are posed, discussed, and researched. |
